NATIVE DANCER PRINT SILKY RAYON 1950's MEN's HAWAIIAN TYPE SPORTSHIRT
Early 1950's vintage native dancer print Hawaiian type sportshirt. Black with gray and gold "silky" rayon. Long point collar and self button loop. Two rounded patch pockets with sculpted flaps at chest. Original white shell buttons. Short sleeves. Square cut hem. Original 1950's, NOT a reproduction.
Approximate Measurements:
Chest - 49"
Shoulders, measured from seam to seam across back yoke - 18 1/2"
Sleeves, measured from seam to hem edge - 10"
Center back length, measured from collar fold to hem edge - 29"
Condition:
Excellent condition. No rips or tears. A few tiny pin holes that show only when held up to light. Some light wear with a bit of color loss at back. Pockets have an ingenious repair, to hide a small hole in left, they have been seamed toward the bottom and moved down under the flap... repair completely hides the hole, is not noticeable and both are the same. Overall, shirt is totally wearable and fabric is strong.
