LUXURIOUS SILK 1940's VINTAGE DRESSING GOWN - CORNFLOWER BLUE AND IVORY POLKA DOT
1940's vintage silk dressing gown. Cornflower blue with ivory polka dot print fine silk crepe, contrasting ivory with blue polka dot print. Wrap around full length gown with deep V neck. Contrasting shawl lapel, turn back cuffs and turn down pocket cuff and sash. Patch pocket at right hip. 5 inch wide sash attached below left lapel drawn through inside to opposite right side seam and tied to sash attached below right lapel. Long sleeves with cap puff, pleated at front. Sleeves set-in at front, dolman at back. Back bodice forms point at center.

Condition:
Very good condition. Shows faint closet fade at right side and shoulder. Shear fabric seam reinforcements at inside underarms and pocket corners. Reinforcement serves to lengthen life of garment and does not show when wearing. Fabric is supple and garment completely wearable.
