NUBBY PINSTRIPE 1910's VINTAGE WALKING SUIT - BLUE ARTS & CRAFTS DETAILING - STERN BROTHERS
Nubby stripe 1910's vintage walking suit with ARTS & CRAFTS detailing. White with black tweed and black pinstripe nubby cotton and robin's egg blue nubby cotton. Cut-away jacket with asymmetric button closure. Blue collar, lapel & cuff with ARTS & CRAFTS embroidery. Faux flap pockets at left and right sides. High waisted, fitted back. Ivory with black stripe celluloid buttons at lapels, cuff and back (trim) & closure (20 jacket, 9 skirt). Weighted at hem. Full floral print silk lining. Full length skirt. Asymmetric front over panel with button trim and kick pleat lower. Center back panel with two faux top stitched flaps below waist. Hook & eye closure back left. Brilliant summer time walking suit with outstanding period detailing!

Condition:
Very good condition. Shows faint yellow age discoloration. Small light rust color soil marks at sleeves, flaps & back lower and skirt. Faint soil marks at lining. Frays at hem tape, unseen when wearing. Although this garment has some soiling issues there are no holes and fabric is hefty & strong and could benefit from a professional cleaning. It is an extraordinary piece and totally wearable.
