Early 1900's vintage four button worker jacket. Black cotton with fine woven salt & pepper stripe, solid black fabric back. Narrow notched lapel. Raglan slope shoulder seam, typical of the period. Three rounded patch pockets, angled breast pocket and a fourth watch pocket. Four self covered buttons. No vent back. French seaming. Unusual early workwear jacket.
Approximate Measurements:
Chest - 44"
Shoulder, measured from seam to seam across back yoke - 19 1/2"
Sleeve, measured from seam to cuff edge - 24 1/2"
Center back length, measured from neck edge to hem edge - 33 1/2"
Condition:
VERY GOOD condition given the work-a-day nature of this garment. Light wear and edge wear throughout with several small patches and reinforcement repairs. One would have to say it has a very nice vintage workwear-patina.
