LATE 1800's VINTAGE LAVENDER FLOWER BONNET - T. CHAPMAN
Late 1800's vintage floral bonnet. Lavender silk flowers, purple velvet and silk chiffon, green oil cloth leaves. Lavender silk flowers encircle turn back brim around crown. Crown top covered with green leaves. Large purple velvet ribbon bow top left. Purple chiffon wrapped at crown top edge. Lavender silk ribbon ties. Black silk lining.

T. A. Chapman Co., commonly known as Chapman's was a department store based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The chain was founded by Timothy Appleton Chapman in 1857. He opened the chain's flagship store on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee in 1872.

Condition:
Near excellent condition. Shows light wear throughout and at flower edges. Shows some wear at fabric on crown edge. Condition issues commensurate with a hat over 120 years old.
