Taupe melton wool Victorian cape. Interesting for it's subtle fair earthy tone and it's decorative surface appliques. Intricate floral and stem appliques are outlined in fine machine stitching. Two removable button tab closures at collar attached by carved mother-of-pearl buttons (4). Meticulous top stitching accents at collar, tabs, edges and swells of scallop detail above the hem. Cape is lined with dramatic splash of vivid color... field green cotton sateen.
