MOD PAULINE TRIGERE 60's vintage trapeze coat.
The TRAPEZE silhouette was designed by Yves Saint Laurent and first shown in Paris in 1958. DEEP purple nubby wool and silk taffeta. Banded collar. Long sleeves set into welt seam pleat. Round applied pockets with welted seaming and slash openings center. Five original plastic ball buttons and bound button holes. Wide French seam center back. Fully lined with silk taffeta. Coat flared to hem. Outstanding TRIGERE design!
