Finely tailored 1950's IRENE suit. Fine grey silk and wool twill weave fabric. Cut-away jacket. Stylized rounded notched label. Snap out V neck inset. Fitted with princess style seaming. Pieced princess seaming continues to geometric inset at back. Three button front with center front cutaway. Bound button holes. Point and rounded turn down button cuffs. Original grey plastic rim edge buttons (7). Vents at either side. Full grey silk lining. Slim cut skirt with contoured waist yoke. Hand picked side zip closure. Vented center back with self panel attached to lining. Pinky beige crepe lining. Extraordinarily fine design elements and couturier tailoring. Doris Day requested IRENE LENTZ to design MIDNIGHT LACE for good reason.

Condition:
EXCELLENT condition. Upon very close scrutiny we see two very small insignifcant soil marks, but overall the condition is excellent. This is a lovely suit in the tradition of fine dressmakers of the period.
